[Exhibition Layout – 3D-Visualisation]
In 2025, Louise Giovanelli's exhibition, A Song of Ascents, took place at Halle für Kunst Steiermark in Graz [AUT]. In preparation for the exhibition, the layout of the paintings was developed in 3D to enable the exhibition layout to be planned in detail and communicated to the artist and the cooperating museums: The Hepworth Wakefield [Wakefield, UK] and Villa Stuck [Munich, GER].
The layout considered different aspects of the artist's body of work. Clustered by recurring themes and colour palettes, the layout creates visual tension and focal points. Additionally, the challenges posed by the larger-than-life paintings and the constraints of the conservatory framework were factored in.
