[Concept – Research – Text – Illustration – Layout]

This book project, which formed my Bachelor's thesis in communication design, involved storytelling, writing, illustration, and editorial design to create a cohesive, entertaining, and informative product. On 144 pages, the book explores German wine culture on a simple, beginner-friendly level. Starting with what wine actually is and how it is made, it then offers insights into how to find your own personal taste and practical drinking tips.
Both the typography and the stylized illustrations break with the typically elegant aesthetic that dominates the wine industry. Infographics, combined with a playful writing style peppered with anecdotes, simplify the topic and help readers on their personal wine journey.
