[Research – Text – Concept – Editorial Design]
This research was conducted as my Master's thesis in exhibition design. It addresses how users can be involved in interior design to improve usability. A comprehensive literature review was used to explore the factors behind "good" and "bad" design experiences and the related "user gap". The investigation extends the potential of user involvement through co-creation, gathering insights from experts in the field through interviews. The study then looks into applying the co-creative principles to the interior design field.
To test this approach, a small-scale, user-centered workshop was designed as part of the research framework. The goal was to assess how user-driven prototyping and concept development affect the interior design process. However, the workshop ultimately failed. As a result, the findings are presented with an emphasis on personal reflections, allowing us to understand the obstacles and opportunities for improvement.
